Personal CounsellingWe all encounter challenging periods in our lives, times when we are not sure of the best way forward. Times when our circumstances, decision making or habits of thinking result in us of being anxious, angry, depressed, dependant or just plain sad.

At these junctures speaking to a competent counsellor, someone who can help you see “the wood from the trees” can be invaluable.

Following a mutually respectful conversation the client’s awareness of the impact of past experiences on attitudes and decisions can be increased. Patterns of thinking can be revealed and their consequences dissected.

Patrick’s broad employment history and his extensive educational experience holds him in good stead to help individuals examine alternative causes of actions. His person-centred counselling coupled with his wholistic approach enables him to employ aspects of Mindfulness, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Art Therapy. He also uses the tools of meditation and hypnosis to assist in calming the mind and increasing self awareness.
